Two New Shows Coming to WVUA/WUOA-TV

Premiering Sunday, February 10th at 3:00 pm
Alabama Life is a magazine style show that uncovers the best untold stories of Alabama. The series finds the most intriguing people, awesome eats, and beautiful places that make up the wonderful state of Alabama. Episode 101 will highlight the Irondale Cafe, the Alabama Ballet’s “First Tuesday” program and the dedicated zookeepers of the Birmingham Zoo. The new weekly series will premiere at 3:00 pm and be repeated at 3:30 pm.

Alabama Life will also air Wednesday, February 13th at 8:00 pm.

Alabama Inc. is a business show, but don’t hold that against us because we like to keep it fun. We look at interesting stories happening around the area and sit down with some of the biggest names in the Alabama business community.

Gigi Douban of NPR’s Marketplace hosts along with support from Alabama Public Radio’s Pat Duggins and WVUA’s Terri Brewer. Correspondent Josh Snead closes out the show with a look at the quirky and unique things people pay for. The new weekly series will premiere at 4:00 pm and be repeated at 4:30 pm.

Alabama Inc will also air Wednesday, February 13th at 8:30 pm.

These two new weekly programs are produced by the University of Alabama Center for Public Television & Radio. They will be broadcast on WVUA-TV channel 7 in Tuscaloosa and WUOA-TV channel 23 in Birmingham. The two TV stations are operated as a public service of the College of Communication and Information Sciences at the University of Alabama.
