“Mama Called” Documentary

Paul W. “Bear” Bryant was born on September 11, 1913. 2013 was the centennial of his birth and special events to celebrate his life were held at the University of Alabama including the premiere broadcast of a one-hour documentary about him. “Mama Called” was produced by the University of Alabama Center for Public Television and Radio (where I work) and the Paul W. Bryant Museum at the University of Alabama. I wasn’t involved in this documentary but my colleagues Rob Briscoe, Gray Lloyd, Robert Clay and Preston Sullivan put a lot of work into it and I definitely recommend it.
