The Bill Abel Band performs at the 2014 North Mississippi Hill Country Picnic, an annual festival held to nurture and honor the unique musical traditions of north Mississippi. This song was popularized by Mississippi Fred McDowell whose recordings and rare public appearances outside of north Mississippi brought the hill country sound to new ears in the 1970s.
Bill Abel is a talented visual artist as well as musician. He performs as a one-man-band in addition to performances with this high-energy band.
