About Max

max_cuWhen I started Max Connections in 2010, I wasn’t sure what I would do with it. It just seemed like a good idea at the time.

I’m a media producer at the University of Alabama. This is where I play with stuff in my spare time.

I’ve ended up posting a lot of music videos, most of which were shot at the North Mississippi Hill Country Picnic, an annual music festival which my wife, Cindy, and I enjoy attending.

I’ve also written about film and TV projects that people I know or work with have done. You can see my work at maxshores.com.

Raised in the country, I have chosen to live a suburban life. I’ve been married twice and I got it right the second time. Cindy is a treasure. I believe we were destined to be together. It just took us a while to find each other.

KT, daughter from my first marriage, is bursting with energy. Cindy’s daughters from her first marriage, Mary and Myra, round out our existence brilliantly.

My father died years ago. He was a United Methodist pastor. I remember people asking me while I was growing up if I was going to be a preacher like my dad. That wasn’t God’s plan for my life but I give a lot of time to Forest Lake United Methodist Church by mixing sound in their contemporary worship service and posting information from their printed weekly newsletter on their website.

That’s enough about me. Thanks for spending some time here.
